In this video I drop down a few levels to see if my tight aggressive strategy is viable at the lower buy ins.
I was card dead for the 1st 30-40 minutes and found myself with 700 chips with 50/100 blinds !!! with 6 players remaining.
If you want to see selected aggression and a lot of patience then check out the game below.

I'm about 1/2 way finished, and I think it's a great video. I like that the image is very clear, the audio is plenty loud/clear, and the link is directly to the video without having to sign up for anything.
I'll finish it tomorrow.
Feel free to do a few of these, maybe 6-max at the $5 or $10 level and HU. |

Dareen, Mr.RockSolid....the vids are great in terms of technical formatting, display, sound etc. I am absolutely amazed after watching 3 of your vids so far, how tight you can actually get away with playing and still be successful. In your most sincere estimation, how much are you cashing using this super tight/Agg style? I could sharkscope you I guess and answer this myself. Just curious.
One thing that I have noticed in your play is that you like to use the "pre-action" buttons. I'm sure that in the end, it probably doesn't amount to much, but I bet there are hands that people will try to steal from you because you use the check/fold button quite a bit. Since you play so tightly and are so disciplined and basically refuse to get involved in any hands without the goods, you won't really suffer for it early on in tournies anyway. Again, I'm not trying to make a big deal out of this, but I see this as an online tell so I thought I might throw this out at you.
Also, you can't continue to win by cheating and colluding! Cheaters never win and winners never cheat! How bogus was that? I can't believe that they chatted for about the last 30 min's at least about you colluding and reporting you based on some amazingly flimsy perceived reality by that one dude. I know you're not sweating it, but that's obsurd and I can't believe that people would jump to such a strong conclusion based on the fact that you hardly played any hands at all against anyone, let alone that one opponent. Incredible.
Nice vids and keep them coming. |

Thanks for the great feedback guys,
Yeah I think your right about the online tell but i also use the check auto if im on a draw so it doesnt mean im not going to call a bet but yes i agree with you it is a tell and some players will auto bet after a fast check.
Im on the up again after making approx $2500 in the 1st month i went on a real bad losing streak, i mean a real bad beat losing streak.
But alas i'm still playing my game and slowly but surly im getting my roll back up.
I had 25% ROI at one point but after the beats which at the time didnt seem like they were going to end im a lot lower than that now.
Yeah about my super tight play, I have just got my full tilt book through this morning so i might try a mix of Andy Bloch chart starting hands and Chris Ferguson starting position raise advice.
I wil let ya know how i get on with that.
Regards,
Darren. |
