When do you lay this down 4 to a wheel and only one going for low side of the pot i cant seem to get away from this with 4 outs to wheel and 12-9 to low side and what looks like a big pot about to happen.

This is a great situation. I would bet and raise on 5th and 6th street. I think this is the correct play, even if you miss your draw. When you hit you'll get rewarded handsomely.

You gotta know what cards are gone already and how other people are boxing you out. Gotta remember you are probably only getting half the pot if you get it. So much stuff is going on its really hard to tell by your post what to do there. Your are much better off trying to go for a pot where you can get it all or everyone's not busting it wide open. Having said that...I usually work over a draw like that ONLY if I know most of my outs are available and some else isn't 4 to a low that boxes out some of my outs (5-6 showing). Are you going to ride it out if it comes low for them and you get a 7? See how your outs get crippled? Try to scoop pots and play cards that let you draw to high and lows.

I agree with BNS here. What you're hoping is that you at least hit your low and let the others fight for the high. By raising every chance you get, you're getting more and more of the split pot that will be coming your direction. And as BNS said, if you don't hit, then you fold, but you'll get paid off very well more often with this hand because you'll hit more than you miss. Now, if you do hit the wheel, there is always a slight chance you can scoop for a very large pot. However, if there are multiple people in with no low possibility, it's hard to imagine they couldn't beat a wheel, though it wouldn't completely shock me. Bet on 4th, 5th, and 6th street with 4 to a low and hope you hit by 7th to get a very nice split of the pot.
