| Funny story. We now can appeal to the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Gaming Commission. It consists of Ron. True. An indian named Ron is the entire commission. He will give the last and final decision. Ya, this is gonna work out well. |

Keep us all informed.
I drive past the Flandreu exit every so often and think about taking a few hour detour to the River. But after hearing this tale I think I'll check out the Argosy instead. |

| It's quite time. We'll let the system do it's thing, and should know within one week. Hopefully the casino is trying to be reasonable in this whole situation and we'll all end up being happy. |

Seems the pressure is starting to get to the casino, what with the magazine wanting a story, lawyers getting involved, bad publicity taking it's toll, etc. Maybe they'll make the right financial decision after all.
If they feel the need to penalize anyone, they should just refuse to pay out to the 'talker', and split what would have been his share amongst the rest of the table. |

| I have been employed by many, many tribal casinos in my life and the sad fact is, you have no legal grounds in this matter. Save your money on the lawers. You did the right thing by contacting a magazine though. The only chance you have is to smack them upside their deserving heads with the threat of BAD P.R. Good luck to you man i've seen similar stuff before, and rarely does it go well for the little guy. It's about time that the public becomes aware that the tribes have way too much clout and no checks to their authority in gaming matters. |

| Bad news. Got a letter saying they will not pay. F/n indian casinos. I will never step foot on one again. I'll see what a lawyer can do, but who knows what can be done on the reservation. |

The state has zero and I mean zero jurisdiction over a native American tribe which in itself is a soverign nation, accountable only to the federal government of the U.S. Maybe the U.S attorney general could set them straight. "yeah right!!" |

| There is news coming, and big news. This is bigger than anyone thought, and involves many people. Also, the poker room manager has taken a 2 month leave because of mental distress over this situation. Too bad the casino could not have seen the advantage of paying and showing good faith. Now they have terrible pr, poor moral at the casino, the Bad Beat has been froze for 3 weeks, dealers are out of a job, and all over not paying out the Bad Beat money, which was not the casinos anyway(it's part of the rake, so it's the players money). It's cost the casino lots of $$$$'s, the players and employees $$$'s, and yet they keep fighting payment. Not smart. |
