Not necessarily a bad turn call because you were priced in for 1/2 pot(about 2/1 for low only).
I just don't like the float on the flop. Either c-bet, chk/raise or fold. You defined your hand to your oppenents by the way you played it. You obviously had 1 of 2 hand groupings by smooth calling, the the most likely being exactly what you had.
A raise from the BB typically means AA or great wheel cards. AA is almost always a full pot raise. Smallish value bet comes across as pot building, which points to a 3 or 4 to a wheel type hand. The way it was played, I guarantee the villian knew he had you beat and were still drawing.
Raising from the BB in PL/NL can be very tricky. If it's done, you have to be either looking to isolate(IE-bet bigger) and also be prepared to stay aggressive post flop or check/fold. With so many limpers and such a small raise, you put yourself in the position of facing a large pot, multi way and UTG. Not necessarily an enviable position. |
