Cubbies: You're incorrect. All BAP's aren't the same. I made mine 60-40 instead of 50-50+SB because the backer would get more money for a larger score. I obviously am not playing for a small cash, but a large one, FT+.
When I do my FTOPS BAP, since it's 3x the money at stake and the field is MUCH larger, I'll do 50-50+SB because a smaller cash is more likely. Again...

Cubbies:
Most stakes are commonly 50-50+SB. That's VERY standard and almost all the stakes I've been a part of are 50-50+SB, but not all. In regular stakes, the staker decides the %. In Buy A Pieces, the horse decides the % which obviously can either pull in or repel backers.
A BAP is almost exactly like an ad for a business or a good. If you make a good $5,000.00 (a toaster for example) people most likely will not buy it. If you make a BAP (as a horse) 95% in your favor, people will most likely not buy it.
You have to make a marketing decision so to speak when you put up an ad for a BAP. What will people buy? |
