Critique please. Is my flop play too aggressive? I 3-bet because I know he has a set if he 4-bets.

| I understand your reasoning with the 4bet, but in this case it suffices to know that you're beat on the flop. There are 2 streets to come, and you will be able to gather that info just the same if he continues to be the aggressor, and save a few bucks if you miss. Either way, you can't expect a huge payoff after the third club hits, and any board pair should freeze you regardless, so it's best to draw cheaply. |

Yes-the flop is the time to build this pot. I'd play that hand the exact same way. On the turn picking up the 2nd nut low draw is beautiful. I assume that river gave you a scoop unless he had like JJA3?
Nice hand and well played. |

How do you know he has a set if he 4-bets? Any multiwrap w/flush draw is probably doing the same. With basically a bare nutflush draw and backdoor low draw, I'm not in such a hurry to be building a pot on this flop, especially if I'm facing a set. Actually, your equity is the worst against a set, about a 7/3 dog.
I'm just not a big fan of pumping bare draws in LO8 vs. obvious action. If you had anything else to go with it, I'm in favor. |

| Well that was my thinking while playing. Yeah I guess you're right he could have a huge draw and 4-bet also though I think it would be much more likely to be a set. I think where I went wrong here is it doesn't matter really. I'm drawing to the flush and that's about it. I guess I wanted the info unless I caught an A or another 2 but that's not as likely and I guess not worth the extra bets. O8 is definitely my worst game so please pick me apart. |
