I had Qd3d and i raised 3x the big blind. Someone in mid position calls and we see the flop. Flop comes 2c3c10c. The guy im up against checks to me and i raise all in trying to steal the pot. After about 5 seconds he calls with Jh4d. no pair, no club, jack high. He catches a Jack on the river. Son of a *****!

Now was my all in with Qd3d the right move, probably not. But him calling with Jh4d was just plain retarted.

i had 7700 and he had 7400

It would kind of help to know what the relative chip stacks between the two of you were, but in a general sense going all-in there was probably not the smartest move, especially since he had already called one raise. But of course if you had checked behind him he probably would have put you all-in on the turn. I think I may have tried a smaller raise as opposed to all-in, enough to make him have to think without breaking you if you get called. Chances are he called your all-in with his J figuring you didn't have anything and that his Jack High was good. I've seen it dozens of times, and unfortunately dopes like that usually end up getting lucky.

I do not claim to be a great poker player or anything, but I think you may have overcommitted yourself there. But he was definitely an idiot for calling you.

I don't mind the play. It's aggressive, but you did have the best hand.

You can raise with anything if you think you can force others to fold.

Yes i did have the best hand. And whats worse is the moron called my 3x raise with J4o, a real jackass.
