I'm new to Omaha, have only been playing about a month. I have over 4 years experience at NL hold em. My question is how should you play top 2 pair at the flop, and it's Omaha hi pl. Ive bet the pot only to be called by flush or str8 draws and then they hit by the river. Same thing with a set. It seems if there is a draw people call any bet. Should you only play top set aggressively and just try to see the river with lower sets? Are the chasers getting proper odds to call if you bet the pot? I wouldn't think so unless maybe they have nut flush and nut str8 draw. Any advice would be appreciated. I managed to win a ticket on Poker Stars in their Omaha hi freeroll and have a tourney this Sunday and would like to finish in the money! |

When you have the nuts bet like crazy trying to get people out the pot because your two pair is only good if it turns into a full house unless theres no straight or flush possiblies |

| Top two pair is crap in omaha... Don't know why they are giving such bad advice , maybe trying to fill the fish tank, but two pair is complete crap in omaha, you are often drawing dead to top set, or a huge underdog to monster draws such as wraps or straight and flsuh draws. If the board is rainbow, and it is checked to you, you can take a stab with top two pair, but don't go overboard , and if you get played back at you are likely drawing either dead or to three outs. |

| 2 pair is a trap hand, you better have straight or flush redraws to go along with it if you stay in, otherwise you're just asking for troubles! |
