I've been playing poker for 3 weeks now, and have noticed this sort of **** going on a lot. It's pathetic. 'The Morons', 'donkeys' etc..... and it's always by the poker genius who just lost.

If you're so good at poker, why don't you try going to the tables where dicks like you only bet face cards and high pairs...

everyone's a poker master when they've just lost..... and are seemingly so insecure that not only crying about it on the table they are now posting blow by blow accounts of their unsportsmanlike behaviour.

Some of us really don't know how to play poker yet.... but 1 thing is for sure, all your (and other Oedipal expletives like you) ranting and raving has never satisfactorily explained why, when playing against players who only bet face cards, and who you KNOW will start raising insane amounts even when no improving cards appear on the flop, why I shouldn't try a medium card betting strategy against them once in a while.. and btw, it is since attempting to listen to people like you that my statistics have gone down. When playing on tables with all these terrible fish and donkeys that are such morons according to you, My attempts at a tight game are thwarted by no action on large raises, or worse, bad beats, and blinds leaking my cash away. When adopting a looser approach, I do ok.... so 'go figure' as you say.

I keep hearing about how this doesn't happen on higher stakes tables (I play on .05/.10 tables since as I have said I have just started playing poker ...never even knew what a big blind was until mid december!), but I can't help thinking that if I can't win on these tables, then I shouldn't move up any levels at all.

If you can explain any of these things to a newbie like me without resorting to you crypto-fascist insults, then you may be worthy of some respect.

If not then please don't litter these forums as well as the table chats with your whingeing.

First of all, I don't know you any more than you know me, so don't start flinging insults my way.

Second, I don't feel as though my original post was whining. All I did was post about an interesting hand history. As far as my behavior after the hand went, I even admitted to being a little harsh. Most of the time, I'll either let something like this go, say "good hand" (sarcastically, of course), or I'll make a joke of it to get a laugh. My first comment was actually directed towards the other player who also had AK. Like I said, if davallin felt that it was that important to defend his play, that's his issue.

***However, I still feel that davallin played the hand terribly. If you feel otherwise, you are welcome to your opinion.***

Finally, I am the LAST person who will tell you that I'm a poker master. Far from it, in fact. When I play a hand badly and suck out, I will be the first to admit it. My problem wasn't with how badly he played the hand... I've fyorked up hands worse than that and gotten lucky to win it, too. I'm at least willing to admit afterwards that I had no business winning the hand.

It sounds to me like you actually have a good head on your shoulders, and could get somewhere with a little practice. However, and I mean no offense by this, it's hard for me to take you seriously when you attack me ("and other Oedipal expletives like [me]"). You say you would prefer guidance, but you say that listening to guidance in the past has made things worse.

Do you truly want help, or are you also just resorting to... let me scroll down to see how you put it... "crypto-fascist insults"? If my posts get you that angry, you are free to skip over them if you wish.

I don't mean to start a whole argument, but I'm not going to sit idly by while I'm insulted and attacked.

Micro stakes Limit Hold'em.

Every table I go to seems to have at least one dude that will always chase the backdoor flush all the way to the river calling every single raise in the process.

He wins a hand, he gets my money.

He loses the next 6 hands trying the same thing... I say thanks for the bankroll boost.

It ain't called 'No Fold'em' for nothing.

Players that try the same flush chasing in No Limit are usually just referred to as 'broke'.
