I disagree.

I found Suicide King to be both well written and engaging. His articles in Bluff Magazine following up on Andy Beal were equally well done.

I do think that his blogging is a bit uneven, especially as of late, but generally speaking I think most of us on this forum would have trouble matching the overall quality of the writing.

I wasn't impressed with what he wrote about Maui last year especially since all gambling is illegal in Hawaii.

Anyone who can make a living writing must be doing something right.

I'll probably get slammed for saying this, but I don't like Robert Ludlum. Love the Bourne movies, hate the books. That doesn't mean he can't write. He obviously can.

Nicely said.

I won't slam you. I've read plenty of books that other people love and I hate. I've also loved several books that others despise. Each author has a somewhat different voice and that voice doesn't resonate with everyone.

To me it is perfectly legitimate to say things like "I don't like that author's work," but it is moronic to say something like "that author sucks" or "that author can't write."

Mein Kampf sold a lot of copies.

"By the end of the war, about 10 million copies of the book had been sold or distributed in Germany... and Hitler had made about 7.6 m Reichsmark from the income of his book."

Anyone who can make a living writing may still be doing something right or something wrong. Difficult to keep that perspective while fellating, I understand.

Um... remind me again... what exactly is a Magic Doodle?

and... why would someone want to write their way off of one?
