Villain is obviously an idiot with no clue what he's doing... what streets should I have played differently?

I think it's fair to give him credit for two strong down cards. Let's argue that he probably had about what you did, A3 down. He starts with A39 and completes. You raise, and he calls. Maybe he things you don't really have a hand or only have a weak hand. Or maybe he's just not very good or just decided to make a move. Either way, he's in the hand.

At 4th street, he could very well be ahead. If he has A349 he's 2 cards ahead now. If he is, he's still in better shape on 5th.

On 6th he has a made 9 with a terrible draw to an 8. You potentially improve to a worse hand with a better draw, but you don't bet so he has every reason to think he's ahead. If you've paired, as you likely have - he knows he's ahead. He bets it, and you fold out.

Obviously we don't know that's what he had, but it's not hard to imagine this line of play if he did. You could have shown more strength on 4th and 5th, which may have slowed him down if he didn't have the hand. But, I don't think your weak position warranted it.

I'm very curious what more experienced players think of this hand, as I find myself in this position a lot, a great starting hand facing a weaker hand that has potentially outdrawn me. I think I would have folded to the bet on 5th unless I was really thought the player was capable of playing a 9 high without having solid cards underneath.

Purely base on the pot size, Hero is getting 4:1 on the 5th street. I don't think villan is more than 4:1 favorite at that moment so a call is probably justified. But on the 6th street, I believe it's a fold. I doubt the villan completes with a rough 9 which means the 8 probably did not pair him. The 4 probably did not pair him either base on villan's betting pattern.

Interesting that I think the second hand is more problematic earlier. But quickly about the 1st one. That reraise post flop screams 3 to a 9. Of course your calling his reraise. On 4th street the problem starts. He could have 4 to a 9 versuses your 4 to a 10. Here I think about folding. He showed nothing but aggression and I'm definately folding personally. The pair on 5th gives you little hope with your paint versus his potential draw to 9 high versus your made queen? high. On 6th street foldings fine. But you could have reraised representing improvement to the 10 high and a nut 5 low draw. He certainly doesn't seem like he's going to fold so folding is ok. But against a different style of player representing improvement on a busted pair can work.
On the hand you went out on I definately think you should of raised the flop. ie complete That screamed I have a problem in the hole against the bring. If it was multiway I'd be far less critical of calling. He read you as weak and was able to discount his jack against your holding as 3 cards versuses 3 cards after 4th street. The hand and board reading spelt the end from 5th street on. Stan Crying or Very sad
