I've bluffed plenty in razz.
Say you have K-Q in the hole and you have 2-3-A showing. It looks like you've gotta good razz hand, even though you're only drawing to a King low, and you bet out and you're opponent thinks he's beat.
You should try bluffing in razz when you know your opponent(s) missed or isn't drawing to a good low. |

| razz I find a little more interesting than "community card" games because there's a lot more you're looking out for in either instance, but if you have one card and see three of the same on the board you're able to know more because you see what you have, what your opponent has, what you can have, and what just isn't possible. I use the game for reading and calculating more than anything else and I love it as a whole. |

| I ALWAYS pair up in razz, I love horse but I always pair up in razz. No lie. It's come to the point that I sit out when razz comes around. It is horrible luck that I pair up every hand. |

I've only started playing razz recently since I just started the $0-$10k challenge. From what I've seen so far, razz is a lot LESS about luck in MTTs than most people realize.
I'm only saying this because I've played in five freerolls recently, cashed in three or four of them, last night finishing 9th (out of 2400) and then in the $1 Ferguson tournament finishing 8th (out of 365). I really doubt anyone out there can say they have the same consistency with the NLHE freerolls and $1 tournaments.
Yet, I'm still so new to the game and only understand the fundamentals. What I am noticing though is the limit effect actually weeds out the people who don't know what they're doing. I've only seen a minute handful of poor players make it beyond the 100 player mark in any of these tournaments, which is not at all similar to what you may see when watching a NLHE tournament.
So yes, Razz can be incredibly frustrating some times. You can start with the best drawing hand on 3rd st., get a perfect 4th st. and still have king high or worse by 7th, lol. But then again, it's not like AKs in NLHE is a lock, either. |
