pokernut3000 pops off with " buh-bye! "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the sad part is he probably thinks he made a great play, at least I left knowing he wouldn't be around long.

If you are tired of play chip donks, then grow some balls, make a deposit, and start raking in the dough.

He certainly played the hand poorly, but give him credit for knowing when he was pot committed... Smile

Better make that a BIG deposit then. I play micro limit ring games and SNGs on 6 sites and they are all full of "donks". Ive played up to 2/4 rings and $50 SNGs (rarely that hi tho) and they arent much better than the play chip tables.
Dont get me wrong, a good player can make cash (which I do) but youre still gonna get people making idiot plays.

Any cash table is immensely better than any play money table.

I have to disagree with ya Rob. I dont know what limits you play but down where I play, the vast majority of the players arent much above the play money players. There are some really good players in the micros but they are few and far between. Just yesterday I sat down at a table and a guys all in gets called and he had NOTHING J6 os or some crap like that and sucks out. The next 4 or 5 hands hes all in again doesnt get called, next hand AI again loses most of his stack, next 2 or 3 AI no callers, and finally AI and I take his last 3 or 4 bucks then he left. The table was short by then and not liking a short table I left too. The next table I sat down at the same guy sits down and does the same crap till hes busted again.
This was not one isolated event I see this crap day in and day out.

How is this immensely better?

It's immensely better because in play money every player plays like that not just one or none(in most cases).

It's immensely better because if you play a donk like that right, you will walk away with his $$.

There is no point in playing play money. If your new to the game your not gonna learn anything good from those players. It will just make you an insane nutbag. So make a deposit and start playing or go read a book to figure it out than put money in. Play Money Sucks!

While there are still a lot of donks at the low limits, like $5 and $10 sit and gos, they are still not as bad as the play chip donks. Plus, if you have patience enough to start making some $$, you can move up to higher limits and escape the donks.

From my experience, I disagree. I see pretty decent play at micro stakes. Probably over 90% of the players take the game seriously. They don't always play WELL, but that's to my advantage.

I played (and won) a 45 person $1+0.20 SnG last night on PokerStars. In general, most people played pretty solid. A very few big obvious donkey moves, like a guy who pushed all in early with rags (I think 8-6 offsuit). But he was short stacked, and that was the last hand he played, so no more of that to worry about. Smile

Thats not always true. I find several players play the 100/200 to actually PLAY. Not to go all-in on every-hand. Another way to find these players would to play pot-limit. All the noobs go straight to NL and don't know what PL even is.

I miss playchip poker! I actually find myself tarnishing my username on the 100/200 NLHE playchip tables sometimes! Razz
