I suggest not being so aggressive with two aces, its not that strong of a hand.

Without being flippant, the fact remains that this was a play money game. people just won't fold as often as they ought, when there is essentially nothing at stake.

I'm not against play money per se, but when playing you must take into account the increased likelihood of drawing hands calling you down, irrespective of odds.

That being said, I'd be playing that hand pretty hard.

He was absolutely right when he made that comment about your hand: Jd Ad 6d Ah. In this case, the 6d is not only a dangler, it chews up a flush out. So you have 3 cards that work and have lower chances to improve.

While his hand: Ad Ah Qd 3h, not only has two suits, it has both high and low straight possibilies. So much stronger all around. Kind of a joke that it was the 3 that won the hand - but it does illustrate how easy it is to beat Aces, even in his own hand.

I don't tend to push hard pre-flop. Omaha is too flop dependant.

Are you serious? So you say that I should not get my money in preflop getting 2 to 1 on my money against two players? Sure omaha is "flop dependant", but to suggest not getting all in when you can with them as a favorite, especially in a CAP game like my HH was, is rediculous. If you pass up those opportunities, you are going to be losing EV. I can't even believe I have to defend my play.

A) you were not the favorite even against the two junk hands that called you. B) if someone had a real hand, like a two-suiter with 4 corridinated cards, you'd a big dog.

If you think AAxx worth all your money, kiss it goodbye.

More than half of Omaha hands are won with straights or better. Those Aces will need help. Your hand didn't offer much support.

here are the odds that junkbutton posted in that thread of the hand we are discussing.

clearly, it is +EV to go all in on a 38% chance of winning when being offered 2 to 1.

Lets say I have $100 and do this bet. Then my EV is:
200(.38 ) - 100(.62) = +$14

im getting the best of it, averaging money in the long run, making a winning play, doing the right thing.....i don't know how else to say it. if you think i am dumb for moving all in with AAxx in clear +EV situations, then maybe you need to take a look in the mirror.
