When asked about what his New Year's resolution will be he says,

"To quit playing online poker and get back to online play".

Do you think the pros are getting tired of online poker?
Do you think that's the reason we see less of the FTP pros?

I'm not sure if they're getting tired of playing poker online, but the live B&M events pay out more with a smaller field. The buy-ins are much higher, but they can afford it, so I'm assuming they are just going where the money is Smile

I can imagine when playing at the Bellagio or any other casino, they don't have rail birds hounding them with rediculous questions when they are in the middle of a hand. I don't blame them one bit. Yeah, I know they can turn off Observer chat, but then they just get flammed on the message boards for doing that, so it's pretty much lose lose for the pros.

Yeah, some of the chatter that goes on while the pros are playing, sometimes heads-up, is ridiculous. It's rude, immature, sexist, and sometimes racist. If someone's playing heads-up NLHE for lots of money of course they're not going to be answering questions.

Recently, I was in Las Vegas for the first time. I attended a celebrity poker tournament . Mike "the Mouth" was there. Because of his table
image, I was a little nervous about approaching him. I decided what the
heck and did so. After all, this was part of my excitement about coming
to Vegas. Hopefully, I would see some poker pros. Anyway, he turned
out to be a super nice guy and I had a picture taken with him. I also
met David Williams, Phil Laak, Jennifer Tilly, Lance Bass and Shannon
Elizabeth. All of them, very very nice people who didn't seem bothered
at all that a fan wanted a picture with them. I love this game and the
all the different personalities that play it. Say what you want to about
Matasow, Hellmuth and other pros who have a tendancy to be loud
and explosive at the tables. They are great for the game and I watch
all the time.
