Ok preflop was dumb and loose. Who cares. What do I do on the river?

The way the hand played out, I think you can eliminate straight/flush for the villains range, so I wouldn't count those in as things you beat (unless you know the villain is loose). The river bet probably means quads or a boat. It's tough, but I think you call. There are more ways for him to make 4s full or 5s full than 8s full or quads, plus you have 2:1 odds.

Fold. There's still a guy behind you...and he called all the way down. Looks like 88 to me, chasing a boat.

I totally forgot about the guy left to act. That makes things more complicated. Still not sure if I give this up, but it's a close one. I've seen some pretty bad play at these levels, so maybe I'm a little biased.

Call it.

Win = fist pump...Lose = reload and move on to next hand

You played the hand to flop trips and you rivered a boat. there are too many hands the other player could bet with here other than 88 that you beat so I think you have to call...

Shoulda repoped the flop for information in this hand...

To answer the question, I'd probably call, but what I want to know is why not check-raise the turn?

1) fold preflop
2) RE-pot flop
3) check/fold turn
4) call
