A couple of hands from the past two days for discussion. The first hand I feel I could have gotten more value out of. I'm fine w/checking the BB, but after that I'm really torn. On the flop, I felt like check calling was the best approach mulitway with no high option at the time. After thinking about it, I really feel like I should have ck/raised the turn.(maybe on flop too?) River bet too much? Feel like only hands like call will tie or 1/2+. Just a trainwreck I think.

One of those hands that really pisses me off. I'm never sure how to react to those stupid post flop min. bets. I was so torn about whether to raise here. Either they're super strong or have nothing. I raise and get reraised I have to dump it. I reraise he folds. I reraise he smooth calls, checks turn, I? I don't like 2 of the 3 outcomes here. IDK.

Hand #1 I'm assuming that you didn't care to raise on the BB in order to have it be a multi-way pot, with the hopes of keeping it multi-way for your low (or any high hand that you may make) to be profitable. This is where I tend to go wrong. I play mostly HU PLO8, so this doesn't factor into my decisions.

Check/calling the flop seem fine.
I wouldn't check/call the turn, though....probably check/raise to $1.75
Too big of a bet on the river. As played on the turn, I'd $2 and either get paid by 1 or 2 players, while giving them the opportunity to consider pushing against your weakish bet.

Hand #2 Nice position play, seems fairly standard.

Hand #3 I'm wondering why you chose to raise PF on this hand and not on Hand #1.

I encounter these minimum bets in my HU SNGs ALOT!!!!! They do play a bit tricky. I started using them in instances where I really have no idea how the flop hit my opponent. It works as a good information getter, especially after I had raised PF. This seems to be exactly what your opponent was doing. I would have raised it up to $1.50. You can play his game too. It is a cheap way of finding out if you can take this pot on the turn.

Hand 1 I'm less likely to raise here because of position and it's really not overly strong. The suited Ace and A2 are great, but the backup and high potential is lacking. With several people in thepot, I'm assuming that a good percentage of lows are out. But mainly position.

Hand 3 I'll raise strictly based on position.

You don't seem to be using my good friend in Omaha; 1/2 pot. The pot builder! I have three bets in pot limit Omaha, check, 1/2 pot and pot. You had a situation in at least 1 of the hands where your seeing minimum raises. I hate them with a passion! It screams fish! Oh i mean I love them with a passion as long as it's not me making them.ROFL It's like going fishing for real. To much noise scares them away. Pot bets are used to take away pot odds from draws. 1/2 pot is about pot building. Especially as a reraise to a minimum bet in Omaha.
Not a big fan of your hand evaluation postflop and preturn here. Without a made hand and primarily a low draw I'd be looking for free or cheap cards. If you were trying to steal with those pot bets that's fine. But your comments suggest you were looking for more action from each hand. Not trying to be to tough on you but I see playable hands cheap preflop and not low "gold". I'm not results orientated. And as a ring game player you want those pot odds as your friend all the time. Good luck on the felt! Stan
