I got a letter from the wynn offering me a free night with a limited time offer. unfortunately, I have been too sick for a long time to go anywhere.

I am now on new medication and hopefully it will kill my chest infection so I can get my sinsuses operated on. do you think they would give me another chance to stay once I am well enough to travel next year ?

I found it interesting that one hotel is offering 25 cent roulette. for some reason I always made a lot of money at that level. I once played at a casino in Reno where I started out with $ 5 and won $ 4000. The guy across from me was betting $ 10,000 a spin, was drunk and losing his *** off. His girlfriend was the archtypical bosomy blonde and was getting really pissed off at him for losing so much. As my stack kept getting bigger, she kept looking at me and then at him and when I left the table she seemed to be interested in me and not him. I kept taking half my money back and just kept winning. It was hilarious.

does anyone know what the odds on hitting 7 blacks in a row at roulette ? I did that at Harrah's about 10 years ago and won big. kept pulling my money in 1/2 when I won and wound up winning $ 3000

Best hotels in order are Wynn, Mandalay, and Bellagio. If you want value for money, pick Treasure Island.
Best steakhouse meal is at Gallaghers at NYNY (ask for waiter Paulie Gogan and order the Yukon mash)

So I just got home from Aria, aka City Center. It was opening night of the casino, was pretty packed at midnight when it officially opened. I like it a lot there. They had tasty Patron. I played poker for like 6 hours, 1/3 NL and won a lot. Then I played 4/8 mixed games(O8, 1/2PLO no cap, Razz, A-5 3x draw, 2-7 3x draw, Stud8) and won a lot there too. The room was very busy, but was obviously due to the grand opening.

In other Vegas news, the Sahara buffet in all of it's gloriousness has closed down. It definitely sucked but you couldn't beat the price of it. The end of an era I say.

Figured I'd ask in this thread instead of starting another but has anyone been to "O" Cirque du Soleil at Bellagio or Le Reve at the Wynn?

I'm planning on attending one of those shows...definitely leaning toward the Wynn for many reasons but if anyone has any suggestions or seating tips, eating tips I'd greatly appreciate them.

I've only personally seen O, but I would definitely reccommend it. This is not to take away from Le Reve, as everyone I have talked to has loved that as well. As far as eating, if you want to stay on property, I love the Okada steakhouse at Wynn. I can't recall ever eating at Bellagio. If you want restaurant reviews of other good places to eat not at either location, I can do that as well.

I saw "O" back in 96..Amazing.. Even have splash zones.

I sat in the upper level so I could actually see in the tank. Pretty cool.

Eating Tips.. Are N9ne Steakhouse and Fatburger.. I don't know if Green Valley Ranch still does it.. but they had an all you can eat sushi... excellent stuff.

I know a lot of people have said it already, but the Bellagio poker room has to be the best in Vegas. Another suprisingly good spot is the poker room at the Wynn/Encore. Plus, if you book your stay through the poker room (just call the floorman) they hook you up with a 15-20% discount if you play an average of 3 hours/day during your stay.

As far as attractions, you really cant go wrong with a Cirque show (tickets are still pricey for good seats though)

Ok, what do you got for me then? I mean, "best" may be debated, but its certainly a great option depending on the game/size youre looking for...IMO

1. Close tables: Because they are the Bellagio, they think they can just cram as many tables in there as possible and no one will care. There just isn't very much floor space to maneuver your way between the tables without bumping chairs of other players.
2. Floor persons: The floor persons are very much unfriendly. Possibly as a byproduct of being busy, the floor persons will rarely greet you with a smile. They do treat you well you are famous or playing high-limit though.

I'm sure I could list more if I thought about it. The Venetian is just better all around, but then again that is just my opinion. I'm sure there are people who would argue the other way. If overcrowded celebrity watching is your thing, Bellagio is probably for you then.

I agree w/ BCT about the bellagio. I didn't really care for the poker room that much. However, I haven't been put in a tough game yet there. In fact last time I played there I had a > $250 / hr session at 2/5NL. I've also found the 8/16 LHE game pretty decent there as well. Good mix of bad tourists who think they're good enough for the game because their 3/6 game back home is full of donks, and some bad players with too much money. I think there was only one person other then me and my buddy that were capable of actually beating the game for > 1BB / hr
