Is this really just 6/12 and they're adding 3 as the initial sb?
What would you recommend buying in for? |

My understanding of it (having never played before) is that the bet is $3 on the flop, $6 on the turn, and $12 on the river. So, it probably plays like a loose 3/6 game, so whatever you'd buy-in for at that game, maybe bump it up 50% to cover the bigger river bets.

Minimum buy in is $60 I believe. I'm thinking of around a $150-200 buyin.

I'm not sure if this was a game I overheard a couple people talking about or not but they had 3 blinds, 2 smalls and 1 Big Blind. Sure would make a looser game.

3/6/12 is just 6/12 with them specifying the small blind as $3.

I play 3/6/12 a lot. Everywhere i have played it is $3 pre and post flop. $6 on turn and either $6 or $12 on river. It makes a good limit game.

Any strategy tips? Is the small blind $1 or $2? I am heading to Grand Coushatta in Louisiana soon to try their 3/6/12 game. Wondering what adjustments need to be made. I would assume there would be more trapping with that big river raise and c/r potential...
