Lately FTP has been freezing up on me. This usually happens when I get the SB. Needless to say I am not happy about the dead blinds I have to post due to this.

FTP is also sucking up 20 to 35 MB of RAM. BoDog is memory hog due to bitmaps, and only runs 15MB. FTP does not have that excuse.

If I minimize the table and client, it goes down to 7 or 8 MB, then steadily increases to 20 and sometimes beyond. Min again and it sometimes get below 11MB, but increases back up.

I have to suspect that the IE pop is a problem, as the handles never close. Using IE is bad enough, due to horrible security within IE. It could also be the hand history, but the temp file never seems to get very large. Opening a text file should not crash a program, using IE can and does.

I am not the only ones having this problem. Several at my table have posted dead blinds due to lagging out.

Anyone else having this issue?

Also FTP needs a network test program like BoDog, PokerStars, Doyle's Room, Paradise, Pokerchamps, .... well you get the point.

I did not have these issues till I started playing here again about a month ago. I dumped UB due to IE (and crappy support). Looks like FTP may have to go also. bummer, I liked it here.

I just don't see how I can sit down at a table with several hundred dollars and play with any confidence right now.

I don't use IE, I use firefox (foxfire?) and have the same problem. I've been blaming it on dial-up, but maybe I should check some other possibilities.

The timing out and paying dead blinds is a nusance but the worst was when I timed out with pocket aces. I ended up losing the hand on the timeout. Other sites provide disconnect protection so that the hand completes.

I do know what you mean regarding the dial up problems w/a delay on the blinds. Sometimes I am stuck playing on dial up and if my line slow down a bit(seems to happen to me in the BB) I have to sit out until I'm past the button(3 hands total) and am forced to post a bb and back blind. I wish there was some other way they could post the blind(I'd rather lose it by a forced disconnect after the cards were dealt and I couldn't respond in the 25 seconds or so than a raised bet because I felt I should check my 52 offsuit in 1st instead of raising it).
