You know, all this Chris probably cheated stuff has a ton of merit. I mean, its not like he has, say 5 WSOP bracelets in the past decade, including a Main event win, or has anywhere close to 50 ITM finishes in the WSOP. Clearly this guy is a hack and needs to cheat to win at poker, there simply is no other explanation.

Did he personally cheat? - No way, definitely not.

Did he have help?.... I think that's the question.

This is a multi-billion dollar industry. If accomplishing his Poker Challenge and going from $0-$10,000 had a major advertising impact (ie. put millions of dollars in some people's hands), isn't it possible that the cards were tipped in his favor on some major tourneys?

This would most probably happen without his knowledge or direct involvement, but someone else? Maybe. People would do a lot of crazy (immoral) things for an easy million dollars.

I hope that he earned it legit. And I'm happy for him, either way.

Chris is one of the winningest palyers in the world, to say he would need help is sickening. I believe a playere like Chris would KNOW if he was being "HELPED" and would put a stop to it. Hey Jumpy, I don't play with free money - it's a waste of time, I only play with real money. And I don't like FullTilt, I play on Pokerstars.com, they have the largest tournaments in the world, but also the toughest players. You're welcome to come and play at the tables I play.
I said it before - this so called challenge was done for marketing purposes and for money. When I said marketing and advertising I was, of course, referring to FullTilt - they are trying to lure new players (as someone else said) - Ferguson doesn't really need anymore advertising. And he's done it for the money yes - you're naive if you don't get the fact that I wasn't referring to the 10k, but to whatever else he got paid to do that by FullTilt (you think he's spent the last year struggling at the $10 or $100 level for free and for fun?...) And also if he reaches 1 million in another year or two - as most of the people are asking him to do through that poll - that would be a nice extra income, wouldn't it? And also think how many people started playing on this site hoping to do the same thingy Ferguson did and how much money FullTilt made because of that.
Good point when someone said he might not even know that he gets the best hands from FullTilt. Don't forger though that "he put together the team of programmers who designed the software" - that's what they say on this site about him...
I'm wondering if you're in any way involved in this whole story, cause you're so... "jumpy" about it Wink

Card Guesser is like so many others in this and all forums, he will put forward his paranoid ideas to justify his own existence knowing that if he were to say somethings like this to the individuals face he would be ****-slapped until he cried.

Card Guesser , you said you would take my chips , for now those chips are play...that doesn't mean I suck at poker it simply means i haven't deposited yet. Which BTW is a direct result of Ferguson's BR management ideas, as well as from the input I get here .See bud I am not going run thru of a bunch deposits when I start to play cash games . When and if you'll ever start playing real poker you'll understand...

he asked a legitimate question. There are alot of scumbags out there. and I doubt Chris is one of them, but we all have our price.

and the people of this forum have spoken.
Chris is most likley not a cheat.

and yes just puting up this poll in the first place does infer that there is a possiblity that chris is a cheat and it does hurt his reputation because it plants a seed in peoples minds.

but is it really hard to believe a company is capable of doing some thing like that. companys all over the world do shady things all the time. We, the general public, need to constantly question what is happening in our world. the minute we don't is the minute we will start to be taken advantage of. Not by Chris, but by the people who see you have blind trust.

The bottom line is, if you think chris is on the straight and narrow like i do, then vote that way, and let the poll speak for it self. There are other people on the way to doing the same thing he accomplished.

Of course it is just a poll. Chris Ferguson might be a cheating scumbag.
