Similar thing has happened to me a few times lately whilst short stacked in PLO MTT's. I find a decent hand, something like QQJTss, in late position and raise it up against one limper. Limper calls. Flop comes ace or king high with suited connected low cards, nothing of my colour. Limper bets pot at me which is nearly half my remaining stack, and I usually fold.

Does this kind of bet usually mean he hit? I just can't read them in this situation. Late in MTT's I'm almost always raising if I'm coming into a pot (mostly because I've never played a PLO MTT that didn't turn into a tight-weak fest preflop in the late stages) so I don't fully understand what they are limping with anyway. If I hit a strong draw (straight + flush) or trips I'll usually let a small stack c-bet at me with their high pair and raise them all in. If I've made TPTK I might raise a smaller amount (1/2 - 2/3) so I'm not committed if the small stack comes over the top.

So what are these people up to. Is it usually a bluff? I very rarely see bluffs fail in omaha, which suggest people aren't trying often.

As pretty as it looks, QQJ10 isnt that big of a favorite against anything that would bet out after overcards flop. It is basically a coinflip against AKxx and not even a 2:1 favorite over the weakest possible aces. I usually treat QQJ10 more as a drawing hand unless im up against ultra-loose people who love to gamble with small connectors, or when i seriously need to double up.
While I do encounter bluffing occasionally in omaha tournies, it is seldom on the flop. Mostly on the turn or river after it has been checked down and my opponent puts me on a hand.
