I don't know about that
I think he'll get called there by lots of hands he has beat, mainly AQ. I can also see SNG'ers calling with KQ, even JJ, TT, 99, 88, 77. People call far too often with pairs lower than the top card, but higher than the other two cards.
Also, he has an over pair, so he has to raise. Raising pot commits him, so I like his all-in. If he only calls on the flop, he's all-in on the turn anyway.
He was destined to lose this hand, no matter what.
With a Q-high flop, KK will win many more times than it will lose, so I like the all-in, even if he did lose that particular hand. |

As soon as I saw my hand, I was like 'uhhh, this is either gonna be really good or really bad'. After he bet the pot on the flop, I wasn't just calling. Especially with 2 spades out there. I had to raise, so I pretty much had to raise all in, as I would be pot committed with any raise. I was pretty much destined to lose. Even if I had gone all in pre-flop, I'm sure QQ would have called instantly.
Owell, it was only 11 bucks. |

| This is a 10 dollar SNG, you have to absolutely go broke w/ KK here. |

| I don't fault you for going broke on this hand. Generally people don't come out firing when the flop a set. I would have put him on AK, AQ, or QQ. More times than not you will double up in this situation instead of going broke. |

anyone open push in this situation? Already 2 players in the pot.
In a $10 sng the preflop raising standards are pretty much any A or 2 suited cards. In some cases, 2 cards, lol.
If your going to push that is. I mean, do you lay it down if an A comes on the flop?
If you push after the flop, the only hands that call you will beat you, isn't that what they say.
Haven't played much lately. trying to get back in the groove. I think i'd have went broke preflop here. |

| Nothing you could have done about this particular hand, you could have just called, but there was very little chance for you to improve, and the turn didn't complete any straight draw nor a flush draw out there and so if the QQ had bet out, you would've called again, you were bound to lose a lot of chips on this hand. That is the scary thing about overpairs, it's tough when someone has a set because other than them coming over the top of you, there was nothing you could do. Considering he led out, you had to put him on just a pair of queens or maybe a straight or flush draw for a semi-bluff. It was a tricky move and in the end, nearly anyone would have paid him off on it. |

I had close to that situation the other night in a $30+3.
Very fist hand I was small blind with 99. Everyone folded so I raised it one bet and the big blind made it three bets so I called.
Flop came rainbow 678. Strait draw and over pair I bet 300 to pick up quick pot and the big blind raised me all in.
Had to think about it for almost all of my time when I finally called. He showed JJ so I had alot of outs. turn came K river came 5.
So after the first hand I doubled up and probably pissed someone off real bad with my lucky *** river. |

FLOP Q 3 4
What this means with KK is there is a very short list of hands that will have him beat on the flop.
QQ (The nuts)
44
33
Q4
Q3
43
AA
There was a flush draw, and a strait draw...and giving them odds to catch would be horrible, because the only way he could re draw, was for one card to be a K, and the other a Q, 4, or 3. Not a lot of re draws, so why let them gamble cheap.
It just so happened the guy had the nuts. Happens. Good move going all in on the flop. with only 7 hands that have you beat, no point getting out drawn. |
