The rumor is it is Dustin Diamond.... can anyone confirm this?

I can't confirm that last post, but I have also watched him play. I have to say he is pretty good. I watched him at the final table at the last 200K tourney. Just last night I saw him with a huge stack playing at the 50/100 NL with a full table. way to go D

That is the rumor. Dustin Diamond is well known for playing chess (he made a video to teach kids the game.) It would not be a stretch to move in to poker considering it's popularity. On several occasions (in another forum, while he was at a table, etc) it was mentioned that it might be Screech. Being a rumor it could have been started by some idiot somewhere but since I have heard it more than once who knows.

I seriously doubt this is true. Dustin was quickly turned from just a normal player to a very successful NL player making a lot of cash. People just see a guy multiple days in a row with 100k + when the max buyin is 10k. They just want to think that its some hidden celebrity playing. He is sweet though. wish i was the good and that lucky also! Go Dustin!

Maybe someone could explain to me the rumor that GTKID, who also was at the final table with Dirksen at the 200k guarentee and played impressive himself, was Daniel Negreanu.

I'm not sure about dustin being screech.After the 200k tournament I had seen him playing at a sit n go and I started talking with him.
He was very nice and talked with me for awhile.In our conversation he had told me where he was from.I don't know how true it was, but why would he lie?Put it this way, he wasn't from ca or any other place you would imagine screech living.He's definately a hawk eye fan!I have heard that jen. tilly plays here alot under a screen name that i can't quite remember........something like lvtb?

That assumption is only correct if you assume Dustin Diamond is not a law student. I know he was doing stand-up comedy for a while but he was also earning a post-graduate degree. I don't remember but it could have been law. Now I am not defending the rumor whole-heartedly but so far the "known" facts about Dirksen are not definitive either way.

Ive talked to him alot and he is a law student at Iowa state and said he went to under grad at northwood in michigan and sure enough there was a Dustin Dirksen at northwood
