Why not use your $75 token for one of the $69+6 Guarantee tourneys? If that's what you really want to play, I mean......

I would, but it seems like it mighta made more sense to do it with the $24 token, since the payouts are about the same.

Good luck

It can be done. I managed a second place in tier three having started out in the $6.60 18 player first tier.

I also had doubts about what to use the token for at each stage but I guess that just means there is lots of choice. This is the only site I've ever done these 'ladder' style events because of that choice.

Well, Tier 3 didnt go so well. I went out in 5th. I played solid I thought, didnt get dealt many decent starting hands. When we got to 5 players, there was one guy with about 6.5K in chips, one guy with about 3.5K, me and one other guy had about 1.5K each. The last guy had just under 500. It was lookin ok at this point until the chip leader on my right, raised me out of my BB. The guy who was about tied with me in chips had limped from UTG and smooth called the raise. They checked to the river, and on the river, the guy to me left went all in for his remaining chips. The chip leader called and doubled him up with pocket 3s on a double paired board. So after that, I had lost my blinds that round, so the chip leader was 5K, then there was 3.5K and 3K. I had a little under 1300. After that, they all put pressure on me when they could, and when I folded, they simply checked down to the river every time. Not ONE of them bet against eachother. Eventually I found JJ in the BB, and went all in when the button raised for my last 1000. He flipped AK and flopped two pair. My night was over. This was a little harder than the SNGs I'm used too, but not much. Things just never went my way in this one. Ok, well I learned from it, back to Tier 1, and I'll try it again.

This is quite common at the latter stages of these. It makes sense really. They all benefit from the short stack going out and once they realise that the other large stacks will co-operate they can call with very marginal hands in the knowledge that they will only loose a small amount of thier stack vs taking out a player.
