Full Tilt needs to hire people who have little regard for the status quo and NOT afraid of innovating and introduce the best version of STUD in the WORLD. For those of you who have no clue what im talking about have you ever wondered why there isnt a version of NO LIMIT STUD? Big River/Mississippi IS THE ANSWER!!!!! This game truly rewards the skillful player and its variations are awesome. The most intriguing differences are the river is dealt face up yep you heard me face up, and The really neat thing is after the first round of betting each player gets a 2CARD FLIP!! So if you like the current version of stud invented in the 19th century then you will LOVE the new version invented in 1998 called Big River/Mississippi!!!!

I've heard of it, and it sounds stupid. To me, it sounds like a game invented for teh sole purpose of getting people who only know how to play NL holdem to branch out into other games.

2.00+ .25 buy-in.
[check out my post in "chris ferguson's 0-10,000$ experiment..."]
i agree with strasse here concerning no-limit stud...
but pot limit is a nice change of pace sometimes...
would make for a wild 1.00 weekly forum event. Very Happy

I'm all for Pot Limit Stud. It's a very fun game and dare I say it weights the game a little bit more toward the skill side.

Taking one of the lowest variance games around and turning it into one of the highest variance games around. Shocked

Note that the only hand which you can be entirely comfortable going all-in preflop in NLHE is Aces, and it only comes around once every 221 hands; furthermore, because two Aces are dead, it will be even more rare that an opponent also has two Aces.

In NL Razz, you can be reasonably comfortable moving all-in on 3rd street with any 3 cards to a wheel, and that comes around about once every 35 hands. And there's still a bunch of wheel cards left in the deck to give an opponent a chance to have his own monster starting hand. Furthermore, because your hand can go from good to bad in just one card, there will be a lot of pressure to push the betting hard when you have it.

Now that we've established that there are some good reasons to get all-in on 3rd street, note that between good players, you'll be absolutely thrilled to find yourself even a 55-45 favorite once the hands are flipped up.

Bring a BIG bankroll with you...

However, pot-limit razz might extend strategic play out to 4th,5th and possibly 6th and 7th streets?

Bring a MODERATELY BIG bankroll with you...

I was actually being sarcastic. NL Razz would be soo insane, I don't think I'd play it, besides .05/.10 for fun. PL Razz would probably still be pretty damn bad. 1/2 Pot Razz anybody?!

My god no limit 7 card stud. I seem to think stars has it. But it might be pot limit stud which I thought was still pretty crazy. That would be pretty crazy and seeing the rest of your cards from probably 4th 5th 6th and 7th street your basically waiting for Rockets and then putting all your money in. Sounds like hold em to me. Or picking up something like queen jack 10 suited

I would own you if you tried doing that in a game of NL stud.
