i don't like to dwell on bad beats because i have won as many as i've lost but this one at least needs to be heard, if nothing else just for a little therapy for me.
i'm playing in the 20:00 $100 no limit tourny 11/13/05 and havemanaged to survive to the final table fron 41 down to 6 players. i smile as i see my pocket aces,as well as when an opponent re-raises me and then calls my all-in. he has ace of spades and a red queen. the flop comes 3 spades a heart on the turn, and you know the rest of the story! yes a spade on the river, giving me not only a very bad beat but also knocking me out in 6th place(( did i mention they pay 5 places??????????)).i may never recover from the devistation, and i have sworn off poker until at least i get off of work on monday 11/14/05. thanks for listening i needed that!!!!! |

| I have been thinking that a new game needs to be created: Arizona (put your respective state here) Holdem. Both hole cards need to be used in this game. No single card straights or flushes would be valid like in Omaha. I have lost AA to AA and AK suited to AK unsuited (on the bubble like you for the latter hand.) In Arizona Holdem both hands would have split. |

| Arizona is a strange game - split pot, involving an odd way of getting the other 1/2 the pot. |
