Still burning about this one and it happened a few days ago. Playing low limit, get AQ hearts, on the button...two calls in front of me, raise 5X big blind. BB calls, everyone else folds. Flop is 9 Q x rainbow, pair my Q with A kicker. BB checks, I bet the pot and assume I'll get a fold...instead I get called. Now I'm wondering if he has a pocket pair and hit a set and is slow paying. Turn is a blank, no risk of a flush. BB checks again, I consider the trap, make an all in bet. BB calls, pocket 2s. Couldn't beleive this guy had called all the way considering the size of my bets when anything on the board beats him. Was momentarily happy. River is a 2 and he gets his set. Somebody at the table gave the guy a hard time about doing this and he said he thought I was bluffing....pre-flop raise, pot bet, and an all in!!!! Heck of a read. Like I said, still burning.

give yourself this hand.

AK with a preflop raise. Board is Q, 9 x, then a 2 on the turn. Sure he thinks, you have big cards, you raised, obviously right? Would you bet like that if you didnt have the Q? He doesnt know, he's only known you for the time you've been at the table.

You would have had to have a Q to really have a hand here, unless you were wired.

He thinks, maybe you have a queen, but are just continuing the bet after your raise to represent strength. A common move after a raise.

Turn isa no risk card, so now you really have to have that queen or a pair to break his hand. You push to try and push him off the hand he thinks? Obviously so.

He was wrong on his read and got lucky, sorry for you, but your table imagine must have made him think otherwise. Not really horrible, just bad luck. He was drawing to two outs, you were a huge favorite.

Sizes of the bets aren't always a determining factor of strength. Your all in was a bold and strongth move with just TPTK. He obviously didnt know what you had, but the saying goes, "weak means strong, strong means weak."

This is probably what he was thinking.
