How is it that people are allowed to join a sit and go tourney, not ACTUALLY play and still finish in the pay out?? On many, many occasions I have been in a s&g and one or more ppl at the table are not playing. I don't mean playing tight and folding a lot, I mean NOT PLAYING! EVERY hand is folded all the way to the end. I say all the way to the end because these ppl (I will not call them players) do nothing but pay the blinds and fold but they inevitably wind up in the final three. It's ridiculous that this is allowed. People who are actually making an effort and playing the game don't deserve to lose to ppl who are just wasting space at the table. This needs to be monitored and stopped! |

| Sometimes people forget that they registered for a tournament. I actually have no problem with it because I don't think that they win that often. If I get heads up, I am guarenteed to win 1st prize money. |

| My brother actually fell asleep one time after he had registered. He woke up the next morning in front of his computer that said " congratulations you finished 3rd". It think that may have had to do with him having a few cocktails that night. |

| I have fallen asleep waiting for tournaments before. It sucks to wake up a few hours later to find you have maybe two Big Blinds left. |

I would imagine this happens more often in the play money SNG's than in the real money SNG's.
Of course it is possible to fold into the money, but it really points out flaws in the other player's strategies if that is the case. |

| I was in a MTT that went late into the night. When I gave up and went to bed there were over 40 players. I finished 8th but I did have a nice stack before turning in. |

How exactly is this a problem for you? Once everyone figures out this person is not playing, you raise when they're in the BB. I hardly ever see someone finish in the final 3 playing like this.

I find it more of a problem for the play money tournaments.
Theres got to be about 400 to 500 sitting out, and it takes away spots from people who may get home late from work who can't get in, just to find out theres 500 people who hurried up and then just left there account in to finish 300th.
But, there is a plus side to this, since abuot 4 to 5 people sit on every table, you can raise when they're in the BB, and get free money, and its a free 400 spots you can gain. |
