Since I currently cant respond via chat to issues that arise on the tables I wanted to correct a statement I heard today. "if an Ace comes on the flop the Turn can always make a possible str8." This is simply not true. Note the flop listed.....AQ783 if you can make a str8 out of that your playing too many cards in your hand. Thank you for your time

the flop aq7 if the next card is a kj10 on the turn then a strt is possible, so whenever an ace hits the flop on the turn a strt is possible and not always the obvious strt
a27 any three four or five on the turn makes the strt possible
aak qj10 on the turn and the strt is possible
only if three aces come on the flop then there is no strt possible same applies to holdem.

My statement was in direct response to the chat during a tourney or live table, howeverer I understand what you meant, but what was said was Always creates a str8 poss. so yes the turn Can create a str8 but does not always create a str8 poss. Not trying to be a jerk AB just pointing out that what was said could be mistaken to mean that no matter what card hits, and we know this is not the case.

You misunderstood. They were saying that there is always a straight DRAW if an ace flops. Meaning, it will always be possible for someone to make a straight on the turn if an ace flopped.

Hey Rep, why can't you talk at the table? Did you get your chat revoked? What happened.

the topic in question comes from SS2

basically you're missing the word "possible"

even if the person left it out of the chat it was in the discussion in the book.

any flop containing an ace "can be" 4 cards to a str8.

there isn't 2 cards with an ace that you would not be able to create a 4 card str8 with.

thus the turn card "could" bring a str8 to any flop with a lone ace.

i really just think you missed the point of the topic or the person did not explain themselves correctly.
