Very Happy Sounds like him. I think Gavin Smith is in love with this guy.

Anyway, he is currently number 3 for POY and pretty hot in NL at the moment.

I think he is the guy that ponders what he is going to do for about ten minutes and then folds preflop.

2007 WSOP Circuit Tournamant- Caesars Palace Las Vegas
No-Limit Hold'em Event 6
04/28/2007 5 $17,926.00
2007 5th Annual Five Star World Poker Classic (WPT Championship)
No-Limit Hold'em Event 10
04/18/2007 2 $294,085.00
2007 5th Annual Five Star World Poker Classic (WPT Championship)
No-Limit Hold'em Event 6
04/14/2007 4 $50,940.00
2007 Foxwoods Poker Classic (WPT)
No-Limit Hold'em Championship Event 11
04/04/2007 8 $97,466.00
2007 Wynn Classic
No-Limit Hold'em Championship Event
03/11/2007 2 $384,120.00

The deal is that he is obviously playing a lot and it looks like a prep.

It would be strange if Daniel N consistently gets a 30% size of the choices while deciding to not enter so many NL events, and Lawson remains off the list.

Ok, I'll ask the noob question. What are the rules? How many players do you pick and whats the competition for?

(Yes, I used the search function and found last year's threads, but nothing with a clear set of rules on other than a points scoring system.)

Last year:

Overall winner for each event in fantasy $ got a jersey. 2-10 got a hat, I believe.

The freerolls were for the top 500 "winners" in each event. First prize was usually 250, and top 18 went on to a round 2 freeroll for a seat in the 2007 WSOP. That freeroll was winner-take-all.

Pick 15 players. Five are on your A team, five on the B team and five on a C team.

A team members earn three times the amount of cash they won in the tournament.

B team players earn double the amount.

C team players earn an equal amount to their finish.

I think there were about 2500 folks playing Fantasy Poker at the start of last season and it ended up somewhere in the 6000 range.

Tilter Doug,

To quote Stinky Weezleteets from the Ren and Stimpy Show:

"I told ya but ya didn't listen to me! Why didn't ya listen to me?!?"

Quote:
Mimi Tran
Andy Black
Cory Carroll
Paul Lee
Kirk Morrison
James Van Alstyne
Justin Peche
J. C. Alvarado
Ted Lawson
Davidson Matthew

In addition to odd leftouts and out of retirement amazements, there are a lot of very hot names on that list that will get much needed notice at this year's WSOP.

Quote:
// Chip Leaders - Mirage Poker Showdown
Place Name Chip Count
1 Phil Ivey 1,395,000
2 Cory Carroll 1,235,000
3 Darrell Dicken 1,203,000
4 Jon Little 956,000
5 Richard Kirsch 810,000
6 Amnon Filippi 571,000

Nah, TilterDoug, it's all cool.

I am getting a good deal of snickers out of the pct Phil Ivey and Daniel N are getting.

But look, besides Cory, there is also a very good case to be made for Davidson Matthew.

And TilterDoug, please pass along my regards to Richard Lee for taking Billy Duarte off my team. What happened? Did he die?

I am serious about Billy. I know he was getting on in his years but compared to the guys that can't decide between tourneys, cash games and their golf game, Billy seemed like a decent enough addition.

As for Gigabet, I am curious about his exclusion from the season whereas Brad Booth made the cut. Of course, Brian Townsend makes sense because of the tournament action. But Booth and no Gigabet?

To tell the truth, I was not so surprised that y'all decided to leave Cory off the eligibility list...........however, there ya go........and there he goes.

All in all, I have to say I am very happy with the way the toteboard looks at this point.

Good luck, everyone.

Tilter Doug,

Are you finalizing the player choice list for this year?
