I do not exactly understand this 8s or better rule for omaha hi/lo
What is the nuts for a lo hand? Is it A 2 3 4 5 and if there is a hand like A 3 5 9 Q, does it not qualify for lo? |

| A2345 is the overall nut low, but the nut low for a particular hand is dependent on the board. If the board is A78KQ, then the nut low would be A2378, and would be accomplished by a player who has 23 in their hand. The 8 or better qualifier means that to have a qualifying low, a player must have 5 different cards that are an 8 or lower. So if the board is AA2KQ, there is no possible way that there will be a low, since you cannot have a pair for a low. |

| I am guessing that is the reason for there not being a low hand. I see. So when that occurs the pot is decided by a high hand only? |
