Bring-in - a small "blind" bet, for lack of a better term. At the .25/.50 tables, the ante is .05, the bring-in is .10.
Completing - raising. It's the size of the maximum bet on 3rd and 4th streets - using the .25/.50 example, the amount for the completion is .25. |

| Cossack didn't explain it very well, so I will clarify. On 3rd street, the player w/ the lowest up card is forced to make a bet, either a bring in or a completion. The bring in is much smaller, like cossack said, while the completion is the size of the small bet. Whenever you are forced to make a bet, you should always make the bring in bet as opposed to the completion bet, since that way nobody will be able to put you on a hand. If you complete when you have a big hand, people will catch on. Now, once someone has brought it in, any of the other plays can complete it, kinda like raising, only it doesn't count as a raise since you can still raise 3 more times before the betting is capped. |

I don't believe it was clarified anywhere, so I will add my little bit also.
The ante is a required action(like sb & bb in HE) and a low ante to BB ratio is desirable. The lowest card posts the bring in, as stated previously, and is a required bet also. Typically it's around 1/3rd of the small bet. The small bet is the same size as a completed bet, which is the bet size that applies to 3rd & 4th street betting(raises are double of this bet in these rounds. 5th thru 7th street are the big bets, where the bet size is double that of the small bet.
Now regarding the completion. The completion is NOT a required bet to continue the hand. If the low brings in, you have the choice of either folding(obviously), calling the bring in or completing. In lower level games, it is common to see several players only call the bring in, as opposed to completing. Once the action gets back around to the initial bettor, 4th street is dealt. If someone does complete, raises will be double that bet size from there on(as stated above). |
