A couple years ago when I was in Tunica, there was a 50/100 PL Lowball game at the Horseshoe.
Lowball is basically razz, I can't remeber if they were playing 2/7 or A/6, but basically straights don't count in both, hence the wheel isn't a low, and Aces are high in 2/7. Flushes are also high FYI.

| I know the commerce casino in LA offers Razz all year round. They have pretty much all the games know to man. |

Wrong on two counts ephro,
Lowball is 5 card draw played for low, Razz is 7 card stud. Very different games.
Straights do count in duece to seven lowball. Otherwise it would be duece to six. |

When Ephro says straights don't count, what he means is they don't qualify for a low. He means that straights are high in both A/6 and 2/7. You're right that Lowball is a draw game while Razz is a stud game though. |

| i think one can make a good living at razz, it's just that there are so few games out there, it would be tough... if you played razz at the highest levels, there is no doubt that you can make a living at it... but if you were just an internet player, razz is probably not the most profitable game b/c there just isn't enough action... |

I love Razz also. I think its a great game and I have started to play it more and more. ESPN showed the 2004 Razz tourney and Howard Lederer was at the final table. I live near Commerce Casino but have not yet gone there. I'd be leary though to play razz there because I imagine I would be the least experienced player there.
That said there are often times in razz when you know beyond any doubt that your hand is unbeatable soley based on what the board shows. I would love it if more people played razz because I know I would do very well at it. |

A-6? I've heard of 2-7 and A-5 lowball (in A-5, aces are low, and straights don't count against you, so the wheel is the nuts). Never heard of A-6 before, though. |

Sorry to be nitpicky, but sometimes I just can't help myself.
The wheel is also the best hand in deuce to seven lowball, it's just that 2,3,4,5,7 is termed 'the wheel' in that game. |

Trip Kings to start don't bothrt me nothing. Most hands are folded anyways. But Trips Kings to polish off your draw after betting big, that really would upset you. |
