alright, kinda tired of seeing all the "help me", "is it worth it" , "is online over" threads. ive definitely posted my fair share of "help me" when i first started playing here, but lets see if maybe we can get a sticky to help out the general populus who is currently part of the exodus (like i,myself was.....) to FTP.

Deposits -
YES, you can deposit, it is OH SO EASY. withdrawing is the harder part to FTP, but deposits are so easy its ridiculous. the following are a few, fast* ways you can get your deposit on FTP. after each method ill tell you how long it takes to actually get in your FTP account.

#1 - prepaid visa cards (purchasable at most major name grocery stores, and some convenience stores) :: this is easy..... you lose like 5 bucks everytime you do it, but big deal...simply go grab one, go load it with however much you want, use the "visa" option on FTP and deposit. ive done this a million times and its always instant, never fails. dont forget you can only load these suckers with cash, though, so be prepared for that.

time to actually have money on FTP - the amount of time it takes you to go to your grocery store and back home Smile

#2 - Epassporte - yes, it works......yes, it takes a while (most credit cards are slowly but surely being rejected to the site, but if yours magically works you'll get the funds instantly) since you have to set up your checking account with them. doing this takes 7 business days, which seems like forever when they take your money right away, but it does go through, its 100% secure, and it helps you withdraw. i suggest all of you make at least one, $50 dollar deposit with epassporte so that you can withdraw to it and get your cash outs quicker. when i say quicker, i mean ultra quick. i have cashed out multiple times with intervals at least 600 bucks, and it always there by the next day. Epassporte has an E-Visa you can purchase for 30 bucks, i HIGHLY recommend it. you can use it like any regular debit card, its awesome, and YES it works at las vegas casino ATMs Laughing if you dont wanna shell out the 30 bucks though, epassporte can still do EFT, it just takes 4-5 business days, but ive also done this and it works just fine.

#3 mywebatm - newest payment processor, works just fine - same as epassporte.....you need patience, but it DOES work for deposits, and withdrawals. the fees are slightly more expensive for this place depending on how you look at it.

WITHDRAWALS

#1 - check from FTP -
you can request a check from FTP over the amount of $300.00 (probably less as times keeps turning and the exodus slows down some). yes, it works, yes it takes the most time which is why you should highly consider option 2

#2 EPASSPORTE/MYWEBATM -
if you read what i put for under epassporte earlier, thats all you need to do. take the 7 business days to set up your checking account with either of these guys, and reap the benefits. sure its not lighting fast deposits like neteller, BUT if you need to play RIGHT NOW just do the prepaid visa option, cause that is just as quick only with a small fee. the bottom line here is patience, and in a country that promotes living for the NOW only, i realize why many people panic when it comes to payment processing in online poker. however, you now have your "instant" way of playing. also, you can use your cash outs faster than ever as well. sure, epassporte/my webatm take a couple weeks to mail you your atm card, HOWEVER as soon as you pay the fee to get those suckers, they email you back the info for them so you can shop online as much as you want before your card actually arrives. i actually booked two hotels in vegas using just the info epassporte emailed me INSTANTLY after purchasing my card, and it worked just fine, even though i didnt actually have my card yet.

lastly - i just want to reiterate what many people (especially BNS) have said time and time again in multiple posts. online poker is NOT going down, its only suffering because people are too lazy to do something about it. by reading this post, you are actually "doing something about it" by recognizing and understanding your different opportunities to play online poker here at FTP. please stop being scared, online poker is going no where, we all just need to do our part, even if all that just means you understand whats going on, and how to stay active in online poker.

2 Quick questions:

1. What is the cheapest method?

2. What is the maximum that each allows for deposit and withdraw?

I don't need to withdraw or cash out at this time but I have a few questions.

Do the All Access Pre-Paid Visa's still work?
fluketastic-Have you used one in the last week or so?
Last couple of post I've seen were saying that they didn't work anymore.

I've read that the cash out minimum now is $150, but when I go to the cashier it still says the minimum is $300. Which is it?
Has anyone actually cashed out via check recently and how did it go?

I would like to see an update from someone that has used All Access Visa and cashed out via check recently.

BNS - as you know, there are other ways of payment processing. i only posted the ways ive done first hand (epassporte) and what ive seen my RL friends do (my web atm, full tilt check). i actually had to fax the info for my buddy who requested a check.

hoptop - i wasnt aware of such posts, but i did just successfully purchase an item online for 5 bucks using mine. however, i paid the extra 5 or 10 bucks (forget what it was) for the "premium" account so that i could withdraw more cause 300 wasnt cuttin it for me, but i doubt that makes a difference on why i can buy stuff and others cant? im gonna go out tonight so ill try using it at an atm as well and keep you updated.

I'm sure the Pre-Paid Visa's work just fine for buying things online and at a ATM but I was referring to your post that they could be used to deposit here at FT.

I read the thread below in which someone was saying his did not work and another person saying it did not work for his buddy but did work for him.

http://pokerforums.fulltiltpoker.com/viewtopic.php?t=27209&highlight=

Just wondering if anyone else has used pre-paid visa recently to fund a FT account.

DW
I have read post that say all pre-paid visa's don't work...only the ones that say All Access on them. I am not sure as I haven't had to make a deposit since the law changed.

Try this site- https://www.allaccessgift.com/gift/index.m

Punch in your zip then go down to nearest location, buy one and give it a try. Even if it doesn't work you can still use it almost everywhere. There have been many that said they work and only a few lately they say they didn't. Maybe Visa put the kabosh on them for online poker sites (like regular credit cards) but probably not.

Not sure about any deposit limits... cant imagine why there would be as they are pre-paid.

Good Luck and let us know if it worked.

kind of off topic, but I'm quite new to playing online and I found no other posts dealing with this, though I'm sure they exist.

First off: now that it is illegal to gamble via internet, how is it that this still occurs? Is it similar to the napster thing from way back when? Sort of you can get away with it, but if the feds track you, they might show up at your house with handcuffs? Because all of the withdraw options make sure to bold face the words "non-u.s. bank account". Are they just complying with the bill, but then turning a blind eye to US players?

Second: It sounds like people are having a lot of trouble withdrawing funds, which I'm sure is related to the current shockwave going through this industry. Can someone fill me in on these details? Many thanks,

James

Hi James. While I can't answer your second question since I'm not in ths US, I can answer your first one. As far as I know, it's only illegal to play online poker in the state of Washington. The bill that got passed only made it harder to transfer money to and from poker sites, it didn't actually make it illegal to play online.

I just made a deposit into my FTP account using an All Access Visa Gift Card and it worked without any trouble. The cost of the card was $5.95 at my local grocery store and the highest amount that was available for purchase $100.

After opening the package that the card came in there was a notice that said the card was NON-RELOADABLE. This was a disappointment because I assumed that after I purchased the card at my local store I could simply refill it at their website. No, this requires a special version of their card that you must order at their website and wait for it to come in the mail.
