I felt like I was being trapped the whole way so I folded to the raise on the river. Should I have called all in on the river or done something different at another point in this hand?
Some background info that may be relevant. Generally, he seemed like a good player. I caught him bluffing in a recent hand and had doubled up on the previous hand when he put me all in when he had bottom 2 pair on a paired board and I had top 2 pair. When he raised preflop he seemed to have good hands. All of this made me think I was beat here by at least a better A but I don't like folding top pair heads up.

| I'd say you're probably beat, and folding is correct. The problem is, although you were able to assess accurately the strength of your hand on the end, it cost you a large bet on every street to do so. Still, with top pair here, it's possible he's calling with a weaker hand, so I like how you played it. I don't think I would have done anything differently. |

| This is fine, I don't even mind going broke here, maybe check in to the raiser on the flop. Check/raise, then maybe fold if you can is my line. |
