PostPosted: Sun Feb 11, 2007 5:41 pm    Post subject: Rules & Legit Sellers List (Please Read) Reply with quote

I got the idea for the Buy/Sell section from another forum that I visit and I would like to see it run smoothly and successfully with the implementation of some rules. Here is what I am suggesting:

Disclaimer:
The Full Tilt Poker Forum Buy/Sell section is a free service designed for INDIVIDUAL use. Use this forum at your own risk. Full Tilt Poker and its staff are NOT responsible for failed transactions. If anyone maliciously exploits the Full Tilt Poker Forum Buy/Sell section to commit fraud, we encourage you to report them to the appropriate authorities. The Full Tilt Poker staff reserves the right to deny ANY listing for ANY reason.

Rules:
1) ONE BUYING AND ONE SELLING POST PER USER.

Any threads above and beyond the one we're allowed may be locked or deleted.

2) FRAUD WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
ANY member considered guilty of fraud will be immediately and permanently banned from the NikeTalk community.

Fraudulent activities include:
- Misrepresentation of items (i.e. inaccurately portraying the condition or authenticity of items)
- Failure to adhere to the terms of a purchase or trade (i.e. failure to pay for items received, failure to send items, etc.)

False accusations will also result in banishment.

3) 1 BUMP PER DAY LIMIT.
Any additional bumps will be deleted on sight and your thread will immediately be locked. This forum doesn't receive the amount traffic that would require you to constantly "Bump" your thread to the top of the page.

4) Potential buyers should express interest in an existing thread.
If you are looking to buy an item, post your interest in the thread of a seller with enough points to purchase your item. There is no need for a new thread titled, "Looking for a hoodie" or anything similar.

5) Guests cannot sell items

6) Site to site fund transfers qualify as Buying/Selling and should stay within the one allowed thread.
------------------------------------------------------
Use this thread to add positive or negative feedback for any forum member who is selling his/her Full Tilt Points. I will use the comments to compile a list of legit sellers. Please do not turn this into a flame war just to bash a member you don't like.

How do I get added to the "Legit Sellers List?"

Any feedback should be posted in this thread and I will keep the list updated as best I can. When there is good feedback for a member, the seller's name will be added to the list with a green number in parenthesis for positive feedback. If there is a negative feedback for the seller, their entire name will be in red under a list titled "FRAUD ALERT." Also, if you are leaving positive feedback for another member, please wait until you receive the merchandise. I will not add feedback for smooth correspondence.

Example:
Legit Seller List:
1) TilterRick (5)

FRAUD ALERT:
1) Fraudy McTrickster (1)

If any buyers/sellers would like to point out positive feedback for themselves, please post here.

I actually think it will turn into a flame war, maybe. But I like the idea, so I'll sticky it, and monitor the thread closely.

I recently purchased a jersey from BNS. I felt so comfortable making the deal, i even sent him the money a few days before he sent in the order (so i wouldnt lose it). He handled everything VERY professionally, double checking every step and forwarding me all the updates over AIM.

He ordered it less than 3 weeks ago, and it arrived at my door today.

Three posts of positive feedback from three different members will be required to be added to the list.

**UPDATE** (2/17/07)
Another idea would be for sellers to create a poll in his/her thread like the following:

wait a second, three people have to vouch for one person? that seems a bit much. i know i can find at least 5 or 6 who will vouch for my character. but ive only sold something to slick.

and the poll thing probably wouldnt work since we have several childish forum regulars who would vote negative just because they can.

I have updated the "Legit Sellers List" according to the feedback in this post. Again, I urge the sellers to point out any positive feedback so I can add to the list. There was a post for me, but some viewed it as a "shill" so I will not add myself to the list until someone posts here.

I just purchased a Flexfit Cap from MRT888. He is very professional and polite. I will add an update to this post when I receive the order.
