Poker players tend to have widely varying opinions on the game of Razz. Anywhere from "It's my favorite since I always get crappy cards" to "It's slightly more fun than shaving your tongue". One thing everyone can agree on though is that there's really only one book to pick up to find an in-depth analysis of the game. Problem is, this book is 20 yrs old and some of its concepts are outdated AT BEST.
What would it be worth to you to have a new book on Razz? One that deals more directly with the game as it's played today, corrects some of the misconceptions, and deals with playing against opponents of different skill levels? |

The only razz book that I know of is Sklansky On Razz (which is found in the book Sklansky on Poker), so I assume that what the OP is referring to. |

Nice Idea!
But who should write that new book? Sklansky, Harman, Lederer? Maybe Johnston, Chiu and Mortensen? Why not Joe_King?
Actualy me and a friend who studies Computer science started to think of creating a kind of pot odds and odds calculator wich could give advise on weather and how to play a hand. But we are always arguing about a lot of details, like, do you really wanna play K2A, and when, or wich starting hand is in wich "group" of hands. Its a little bit of science versus experience. And when I think of people like Sklansky, they have both, and a new book wich deals with all of this problems would be very very nice. |

| There is very limited info out there to be found. I would like one but also that would make everyone better faster. I kind of like the fact that I usually count on sitting at a Low limit table and doubling up in a half hour with out having to learn about everyone there. Just pick out the fish and reel him in. You can't always do that a HU because everyone knows a little. |

I don't want to single out anyone else's book, but I will say that kenobi is very wise.... |

| There's also a small section on razz in the original Super System, bit it's sort of an afterthought at the end of the lowball chapter. I learned more through googling "razz strategy" then I did from the book. |

I like you signature. Keep in mind tho that as good as he is, Juanda was one of the first players knocked out in last summer's WSOP Razz event.
As for SS1, the Razz section there is a good way to get started. Very sketchy, but it won't lead you astray. |

Looks like your guesses were good, but someone beat them to it. Check out Tom McEvoy's interview on cardplayer TV....
