KGB- I just sent you an email... I'll explain how to edit it here in case others want to know or if someone knows of an easier way to do this.

After the Week 9 results are in:

1. Go to the "Week 9" sheet and enter the total # of entrants (say, x) in cell D128.
2. The formula in Column D (Points) is set up so that the 1st place player receives x points and the person below that receives x-1 and so on (minimum of zero).
3. Manually enter the # of "Bonus Points" (Column E).
4. Here's the most tedious part... Cut/paste (or drag/drop) the players into the order they finished... this shouldn't take more than 10 mins.

Note: Be careful not to overwrite any player's name because the formulas in the "Summary" sheet 'Look up' the players name... if it can't find the player's name, an error message will appear... ALL of the players MUST appear in Column C, so you'll have to shuffle names around.

5. You can edit Column B, but this is not mandatory... the summary sheet doesn't look at this column, it's just cosmetic.
6. Once the "Week 9" sheet is finalized, the numbers in the "Summary" sheet (including 'Weeks Played') are automtically tallied... the last thing to do is to sort the data and add the color codes for the winner and those in the money.

Pete

Hey Pete,

I love your work. Starting next Friday I have a tournament series that I am holding (you can find it in the Private tournament section, it is called the FTP wicked cool series). I was wondering if you would like to run the leaderboard for it. If you would do this for me, I will enter you into one of the tournaments ($11 value). I will give you the point totals and all you will have to do is set up the page. Let me know if you are interested. If not I will be setting up the leaderboard on this forum.

I wonder if using something like 'generate full tilt summaries' located at http://www.mattahfahtu.com/gfts/ could be incorporated into the process, making it easier to enter the players, their placement, ITM finishes, etc....

Here's a sample of the output (names changed obviously)

Full Tilt Poker Tournament #11611995, Hold'em NL
BuyIn: $5.00/$0.50
Tournament started - 2007/01/13 - 22:42:14 (ET)
9 players
1: player1, $22.50
2: player2, $13.50
3: smokindog, $9
4: player4,
5: player5,
6: player6,
7: player7,
8: player8,
9: player9,

Smokindog- That's a nice little program. I can certainly use this to archive the results and refer to it later if there is a dispute. I emailed FT Support a few days ago about this and they said there was no easy way to archive the results into a text file.

But I still need to drag/drop the player names in Excel because the lookup function returns an error if a name is not found, so I can't simply copy/paste the results on top of the names that are already in the spreadsheet.

Damn man, that looks a million times better than my leaderboard, hehe.

BTW, lesbianlvr and mabEiwin are the same person, as are Ninjah Donatello and DJ Ninjah. However, for the other one, I have no idea, so keep 'em separate for now.

Good work!

KGB, dont' sell yourself short, we ALL appreciated the work you put into this season. We thank you.

With that being said, Pete you are the man! That looks great, and thanks for the extra 3 pts, didn't even realize they were missing. I've only played 4 weeks of the 8 and i'm in the top 10, so i guess i'll get myself in gear. See Ya'll tonight, and thanks again Pete and KGB for you work.

Hey Pete and KGB

I will be playing the rest of the MBJ as Honest_Rob not Mr Montalbaun. Sorry for any trouble with the leaderboard. Please convert Mr Montalbaun to Honest_Rob if possible. Thanks.

Pete, I just looked at the leaderboard again and I wanted to tell you what a fantastic job you've done with it. It's very easy to read and fun to check out. I really need to play more of these tournies.

Rob- You're now Honest_Rob on the leaderboard... very easy thanks to the search/replace tool.

Thanks Gypsy... It's fun to do... and I'm glad that I can make the MBJ series more enjoyable.

rmharris- I received the results from FTP and you're listed in the Week 3 results which was held on 11/26/06.
