AAKK or 4567 double suited? (Please note 4657 double suited is just a example. We could be talking 3456 double suited 6789 double suited.... you get the point.)
With a hand like AAKK, you bet pre-flop to drive out weaker hands, and may-be even post-flop to see where your hand stands. With a double suited connecting hand you can be a little sneeky.
It's also hard to get the drawing hand to fold. According to the math there's a good chance they will bust big pairs. I've seen times going to the river, the person with the best hand, had quite a bit of the deck against him with the other players draws.
With that said, a hand like AAKK can win you alot of money, if the other player missed his draw.

| For me, You're not playing 3456 or any of those wrap hands because you're double suited. You're looking for the straight. Having that said, unless if AAKK is at least partly suited, I'd rather have the wrap hand because of more possibilities. |

The wrap hand. I have been loading up at H/L with hands like that. You know the guys raising have AA and maybe a 2 for the low and a K or so. I'll call with something like 89s 7Jo and rip em up. Odds are if there are more than 2 in the hand somebody has at least 2 pr. Yet AA guys keeps betting and calls me a donkey for not folding to his 3x BB raise preflop . |

If it's heads up? AAKK and it's not even a close decision.
Multiway hands get a little tougher. AAKK is going to be the favorite preflop, and you will hit a set about 25% of the time. That with a 2 Ace high flush draw will make for a very strong hand even multiway.
With a connecting hand it's easier to tell if it hit you and how well it hit you if the flop comes out ragged. J-5-3 rainbow will be a pretty easy fold, but may not be so easy for the AAKK hand. |

| I'm prety new to this but I'll take the AAKK any day esp if it is also suited. However, if there are no big raises I will always try to play a hand like the mid connectors just to ctach people pushing hard with aces only to run into my 2 pair with the nut wrap... Basically iif I can get half my stack or more in preflop I love the aces, but if it just a standard raise with a cuple f call I like the connectrs cause they are easier to get away from if you do not improve and will ften get paid of by people not suspecting them. |

I would play the wrap 100% of the time as was stated ealier it is easier to know when you hit and don't. And with all the possibilities with 4 cards your hands can change from flop to the river. AAKK double is only good if you hit the flop. It is not often you see one pair win in Omaha it is the draws most players, the good ones, are after.

I would probably take the AAKK ds because it has better chances of making a nut hand (nut straight, nut flush, top boat, top set etc). The wrap has great deception value though, and I would probably prefer this hand if I am playing a loose Omaha player (who will still push hard with a set/two pair when theres huge draws on the board). I know I will probably get shot down for this, but I love playing hands like 7678 double suited, because you have a deceptive drawing hand plus the chance to boat-up.
I would generalise by saying the AAKK will win you more consistent small/medium pots, whereas the wrap will have to be folded more often but when it does hit you have the shot at a huge pot. |

I'll play AAKK double suited, or not, but I never raise with it from an early position. I'll usually raise with it from late position to build a big pot,, but I never want to drive players out with this hand. I want to keep players in so I can trap them later when I hit my set.
I like AAKK because it's not a trouble hand, You either hit top set,, or, you dump it. It's a hand you either win huge with, or you lose small with.
Just be careful when you hit top set and the board is connected or suited. |
