If we got this plan in action the first tournament for the leaderboard could be the fairfood tournament. It is on sept 27.
Even if it doesnt count toward the leaderboard, people who are interested should look into playing. A thread about it can be found in this section if you havn't seen it. |
I entered that awhile back. Lots of pros!!! |

There is a charity tournament sponsored by Monster (they will match up to $10k) this Sunday September 21st at 18:30. It benefits the Road 2 Recovery foundation (which helps injured professional motocross athletes). Some of the red pros and top motocross riders should be playing in it.
I am not sure if I am going to included it in the charity series, but I am considering it. |

While not intending to sound harsh or unsympathetic, there have got to be much better places for charity dollars to go besides helping those who got injured while participating in a hobby that is widely known to be injury prone.
I'm hoping to see some of these charity tourneys benefitting those who have been dealt a crappy hand in life, such as a Children's Hospital, an Animal Shelter, or a home for Special Needs People. |

I know what you mean, but the hard part is picking the charities and paying them. I don't know if the payroll department would want to help me on this one, or if I would be allowed to pay the charities myself. This is why I was thinking about tracking players from various charity tournaments and avoiding the issue. |

You must make the Top 25 of the Charity Series Qualifier to be a part of the series. I will be including both the Fairfood and Road 2 Recovery charity tournaments. Here is more information on the Road 2 Recovery tournament this Sunday: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26780706/ |

Bump about today's charity tournament:
"The winner will receive a Curtis & Co. "World" model sports watch valued at $2,200." |

I don't think so, just regularly scheduled tournaments. |

If you knock out a pro and post the hand history here, I will give you a bounty. Sound good? |
