I did my research on how to play Pot Limit but the websites aren't specific. I observed FTP's Pot Limit games but still don't really understand how the betting patterns work. Of course I know that you can only bet what's in the pot but here are several things that I need clarification on:

1. Lets say the blinds are 15/30 making pot 45. If I was on the button and I decide to raise maximum, would I first call BB (30) making the pot become 75 and then bet 75?

2. Same situation instead I decide to only raise the minimum. How do I know what is the minimum raise? Is it twice the BB?

3. Lets say I'm SB (small blind) and blinds are 15/30 making the pot 45. I decide to raise maximum so would I put another 15 in the pot now making it 60 and then bet 60?

Basically what the is the betting sequence during first round and from the sb and bb point of view.

Two more things to ask:

1. Let's say the blinds are 15/30 and the pot already has 160. Can I bet anywhere between 30 and 160 or is there a betting pattern I have to follow?

2. Here's a situation so correct me if I'm wrong. Blinds are 15/30 and the pot is 160. Lets say my opponent bets 80 making the pot become 240 and I decide to re-raise him. Would I first call his 80 making the pot become 320 and then bet 320?

I know it's a lot to ask but I really want to learn Pot Limit. Thanks for anyone's help.

yes to all questions. It is played just like no limit, meaning you can bet any amount you want, with the minimum raise being doubling the previous bet. However, teh only difference is that the maximum you can bet is the pot, and when determining what that is, you must first call the bet before you can raise. If you need further clarification, just go sit at a play money table until you get the hang of it.
