What kind of hands would be able to take the whole put in omaha hi/lo. From what I have seen so far the highest hand and the lowest hand split the pot. But what hands will take the entire pot?
Also if you are playing heads up wont most of the pots be split unless someone can take the whole pot? Therefore how long will it take for an Omaha hi-lo tourney to finish?
Thanks to anyone who can clear this up |

You need all 4 cards working for you. 2 high, and 2 low. The best hand is AA23, double suited, meaning the A and 2 are one suit, and the A3 are another suit. The AA is strong, you have 3 cards to make a low, and you have 2 chances at making a nut flush.
Playing all high card will give you a better chance at winning the high, but you will not make a profit in O8b unless you scoop pots. Playing any A2 is probably good. You'll win the low sometimes, and if you can rope enough people drawing to high hands you can make a small profit. |

| Thanks for that Zophar and BNS. What would be the complete nuts to scoop the whole pot? Would it be A2345 all suited? A straight flush? |

| Nut low and nut high will scoop for you, thats why suited aces and A2's and 3's are quite often good to play. High's only can scoop though too, but I recommend playing them in later positions when there's been several callers in front of you. |
