Didn't think the K beat me, thought I might be against a set on the flop, just sick how these guys play. The guy first to act cold calling everything on the flop had my red lights flashing all over the place.

| No, I think you played this as well as you possibly could have. On that flop, you would have to think your money is good in that spot, and even if you may have been beaten, I would have jammed the pot myself. On the turn, once you saw two raises in front of you, you had to be beat by then, and you made the proper laydown. |

You can't really fault elsinore for his pre flop play. I'm just glad mr J5 got smacked down and if it wasn't elsinore, it would have been you when the board paired on the end.
Elsinore is already in for a dollar with KJ so he calls one raise. His flop play was terrible. He flops top pair, but reraises the original raiser and gets capped. Doesn't recognize top pair 2nd best kicker may be beat. He got lucky and you played it well.
You couldn't put anyone on the J5 and I don't blame you. You got out when it was clear there was a real hand that could beat you. |

nld on the turn and that's what gets the reward in poker, good decisions. You saved bets there.
Elsinore was actually good to call preflop especially since you were raising from the button which is suspicious. The part where he messes up is donk betting the flop for which you were absolutely right to raise. His play should have been to check raise (even though you had him beat). If he sees you 3-bet his check raise there will be plenty of money in the pot to call rather than get capped (although Mr. J5 could have capped flop).
J5 should have popped the flop donk bet and was punished for not doing so. There are too many ways J5 gets counterfeited to slow play it. On the other hand if the flop donk hadn't occured J5 should have check-raised, or check-3bet if elsinore had check-raised.
On the turn the bet then raise pretty much ends the hand for you if your read tells you a suckout occured, you are 22 to 1 to spike your set on the river. |

| Yeah I was just somewhat baffled at the time at how the KJ played it. Guy with J5 raises I re-raise to isolate guy with KJ cold calls.... had me a bit suspicious, J5 guy 3 bets and I capped in another attempt to shove a weaker hand out (a PP of some sort I thought the KJ guy might have held) I agree the raise and re-raise infront of me kills anything in the hand. Was just disgusted when the show down came out. |

Unfortunately, you have to get used to this. I see it pretty much every day and worse. All you can do is pat yourself meekly on your back for making correct decisions when you can and examine how it effects your table image.
It is very common for the table to try to kick you while you are down if you take some beats, mostly because none of your opponents pay attn to HH and consciously or subconciously label you as a loser. Your defense is knowing what your image looks like on each table and adjusting accordingly. |
