I don't have the hand history because this was a while ago. It traumatized me enough to make me quit poker for several months, but of-corse I am back at it.
I had been beating the 1/2 no limit holdem game here pretty consistantly. I got cockey and decided to sit at a 5/10 no limit holdem table with $400 (I know not nearly enough). Over a couple hours of rediculously tight play I was up to just over $800 when I was dealt AA. I bet $40 proflop and got 1 caller (a loose agressive player). The flop came out low, and he was first to bet. His chipstack was a few grand. He bet me all in, so I called thinking it was an unfortunate bluff for him. We turned our cards, and I was right. He had nothing but a gutshot draw. Of corse the rich bastard hit his straight right away, on the turn, and scraped my hard earned $800.
This beat killed my faith in the natural order of the universe for a while. I'm back and hot as hell right now, so it's ok. Still, I'm pretty sure I'll remember this beat for the term of my natural life. |
