Cool, what day of the week is good for you? I'll be there - you'll wanna take I-70 into Columbus and then get onto I-270 North and take that for about 20 miles, until you get into the Dublin/Worthington area. I'll email more complete directions when you set a date.

And much of this thread has been about how it's exactly that, the way we perceive things, that is flawed, and causes us to see patterns that don't necessarily exist. This is why we talk about having actual data to back something up. When did that become absurd?

No you are the twunt for assuming that I am cheating people because I happen to play on a system that is flawed. I play the same game everyone else plays. I happen to think the Major League baseball wild card system is flawed. Doesn't mean I don't watch and enjoy the game. Now unless you can prove I have actually cheated, such as using code or programs to gain an advantage, you called me a cheater without having any proof. Guess what, that actually entitles me to civil damages. You impugned my reputation. I'll forgo that though and just continue to call you a twunt.

I was so proud of the fact that I posted a thread that brought about all sorts of logical, rational thinking ... hearing both sides of the argument and being able to weigh out the plus and minus aspects of what my fellow forumites were saying. I even proudly boasted about the 165 reads, 16 posts ... no flames.
 Sadly, that didn't last. Oh well, there's so good name-callin' goin on ... so, I really forget what the hell I was wonderin' to begin with

It was a good thread, we just got most of the issues out of it...if it becomes flames after that, it's ok.
If people could just go back-and-forth with rational discussion, instead of realizing they made a bad argument, so flipping out with insults, things would be much better. |

Did you ever think maybe your argument was bad Jobe? Lord knows a computer program can't be flawed. What makes what you say gospel? Because you read it somewhere?
I read men can get pregnant. Does that make it true? I wrote it down, and then I read it. Believe everything I read.
The fact is nobody knows if these RNG's are flawed or not. I still play because I enjoy the game. Obviously you do too. But don't think that because I believe something having experienced both live and online play (and live play at one of the highest tournament levels possible) that you are right and I am wrong.
And the fact that you are a law student only convinces me more that I am probably right and you are likely wrong. |
