Here is a Question Hi-Lo 3-6. 3 players in hand. I hold AA89 in BB it is
called to me I just CK.Flop is 4 6 10 #4 bets 3 #5 calls and I call.Turn is Ac #4 Bets 5 calls and I reraise they both call my RR.River brings an 8.#4 bets Call call. well #4 was holding 5678 and hits Str8 #5 had AJJ 3 and he starts crying to me that i cost him by reraising.Am I missing something he called my RR w/ AA JJ and counterfitted A. ??? .And then he tells me to go back to Play Money when he dropped the bet w/ AA. Thanks |

| you aren't missing anything, he made the incorrect play... just remember that aces in omaha are on the level of two-pair in omaha... they are very susceptable/vulnerable to any draws, and you have to play with caution... |

KG Thank You I know AA is a very overplayed hand in Hi-lo,I was just wondering what was wrong he called my bet.  |

| The guy who lost in my opinion is not familiar with the term conterfiet. you didn't cost him a bet he cost himself a bet. however your raise when the Ace hit also cost you a bet as you were only drawing to half the pot at the time and even then you were up against a poss str8 draw that was most likely out there since there hasn't been a hand of o8B at full tilt that wasn't won without hitting the nuts since I started playing here. AA in the hole great pre-flop raising hand if you have two low cards to go with it but in my opinion the AA-low-high connectors shouldn't be raised until after the flop when the Aces hit. The turned set is usually only going to get you in trouble. O8B=Chase=lose.......but your raise only cost you a bet not the guy who called it. |
