| I've only played omaha a few times but a question struck me a few minutes ago. Whenever I get dealt a hand with 3 of a kind, ex: JJJ6 or TTT4, is it right to fold it? I figure if I hit the 4th on the flop, I only have a set and my only hopes for improving is by the board pairing which also opens up possibilities for the other player's hands. I fold these hands all the time, should I reconsider and play these or am I right to fold? |

| Yeah it's a weak hand. The third card not only occupies a spot for other potentially helpful cards, but actively reduces your chances of making anything good. It's fun, though, to show it down if the action is dead and noone knows how you play. Often it doesn't take much to shake up a table. |

| Depending on how many other people are/will be in the pot with you (and other factors like pot/stack size), you can still play AAAx or sometimes KKKx, so long as you have Axs or Kxs, especially if the "x" is a connector, but yeah, in general just fold. |
