Hehe, same situation as my funny story.
IN one of the weekly MBJ's, I was up near the top of the chip count with around 3k in chips, and the game I thought we were playing was 7 card stud. We were actually playing 7 card stud H/L, and I proceeded to donk half my stack. |

| Well this isn't HORSE, but I was multi-tabling different tournament games, Razz, Holdem and registered in what I thought was limit Omaha hi/lo. The funniest thing was that I was playing strictly hi/lo hands and was one of the chip leaders for a while (getting lucky of course). lol. When I finally realized it was straight Omaha, I actually did worse! |

| During a Thurs. Horse Tourney, I had a great Razz hand, 6 low, that I was pushing hard 3 handed w/Honest Rob(I believe) and David Singer in the hand. Unfortunately it was now stud. A side pot had been started and I had 4 flush showing, so Singer folded and I turned up A high. I think he folded Kings up. He wasn't happy. |

Opps wrong kind of horse! |

I just played my first game of HORSE last night. We were playing Razz and I caught a great hand. A2346. I'm betting and the other guys is raising and we capped the turn and river. Suh-weet.
Oops. It switched over to stud and I wasn't paying attention. It took me a minute to figure out why my ace high didn't rake the pot. |

One time during razz 2 guys were capping every round, one with a legitimate hand so it seemed, the other with J on 3rd, 8 on 4th, 9on 5th, Ko on 6th (or something alike). All clubs. Hands get turned over and the unlucky soul that thought it was stud showed a straight flush 9-K. It took him a while to realize why he had lost "you don't even have a pair!?!" that was funny. When people told him it was razz he didn't type another word for his remaining table time |

| Last night I was playing in horse tourney and the bring in (a queen) completes. I look at my hand and see A 3 5. the guy to my right is showing a 6 and calls, I reraise. The guy on my left calls (5). The guy with the queen makes it 3 bets to go. I cap. I catch a 4 on third street. Capped again. The bringin now has QQ showing (he must have had trip queens) and it's me and him doing the raising. The other two come along for the ride. I brick on 5th and betting is again capped. I am not happy at his point cuz the guy to my left now has 5 8 7 showing and I am forced to call every bet with my draw. Thank god someone opened their mouth and told the guy on 6th street cuz I was not laying down 5 4 3 A with the massive pot odds I was getting. The guy folds and the capping stops but unfortunately I caught K K J and folded 7th. I lost a over a third of my stack. If I had won however I would've increased my stack by about 250%. LOL. Oh well. |

| Now I dont feel so bad that I miss the Razz to Stud change. So now I really catch myself talking to myself saying "next hand is stud...next hand is stud...." and so on. |

I've had something like this happen to me a few times.
I have 233 and decide to try for a semi-bluff and complete (not noticing that I was the bringin). Someone reraises me with a midcard - 9ish, and I call just to see 4th. Another 3, I'm heading for the fold button, but then notice the extra (double) raise button because there is a pair on 4th. Thoughts suddenly change, "Oh, it is stud, I can work with trips."
Playing a Razz 25/50 table, a new player sits down and brings in with a King showing. There is a limper and I complete, and the bringin reraises, so I reraise him again and he calls. All three of us get low cards (A for the bringin), I bet, the bringin reraises again, limper calls, then cautious of the limper I just call. 5th is another low card for me (but it pairs a downcard), a 9 for the limper, and a Queen for the bringin. Trying to take it down there, I bet, amazingly the bringin raises, but the limper smartly folds, I reraise, but the bringin caps it with KQ showing. 6th pairs my other downcard, and delivers a Jack for the bringin and a 7 for the limper. My hand looks great (he doesn't know I have two pair) and he is stuck with a J-lo at best, so I bet expecting the inevitable fold, but he raises again. At this point it occurs to me that he thinks he is playing stud - but he might win it if I get a 3rd pair on 7th, so I just call. Thankfully 7th gives me an 8, and the bringin continues to throw the rest of his stack into the pot. His down cards were 33A, so he didn't even have that great a stud hand. He stands up. |

Not that funny since it probably happened to most people who play HORSE at least once, but I just donked away most of my stack with a great Razz hand. Unfortunately nobody told me that we were already playing Stud. |
