Ok seriously, this forum is a place to advertise private tournaments...as in if you're holding a tournament then come and advertise and talk about it. It's not a "ummmm I'd like to play in this private tournament that I was never meant to play in, can someone give me the password so I can crash their tourney that they neither advertised nor wanted me in?". There are a lot of tournaments started or run by people here on the forum that are regularly run with the passwords posted here, but MANY MANY MANY private tournaments are in no way associated with the forum, you won't find the passwords here. The forum tournaments and most of the ones posted here are "private" but open to everyone. The other random ones on FTP are just private groups, they don't want you in, they don't even come here to advertise or talk about them.

Agreed. This forum should be moderated for whiners and have the posts deleted or moved.

It is being moderated very well. My original post definitely wasn't aimed at things being cleaned up, but more letting people know that you're not gonna find things about most random private FTP tourneys here. It's not a "password exchange" forum, if you can't find the tourney listed here with the password...asking isn't going to get it for you, it's because the people doing the tournament don't want people on the forum to see it with access for everyone.

Yesterday was more dealing with people asking for the forum password. I'm speaking more to people asking about random tournaments that are never even mentioned here thinking someone is gonna give them the password to the tournament run by some other site or something.

They're doing a great job at keeping the completely useless threads out but many threads that don't talk about private tournaments still stick around. Many threads would be a lot more fitted to the Lounge or one of the strategy forums.

ITS NOT THAT HARD!!! just look around and you will find them (the forum freeroll that is)...if you cant find it...you arent supposed to play...its as simple as that...there are plenty of sngs and cash games to play...

bbcoach is right the reason that it isn't handed out is so that people can get more fimiliar with the forum and come back day after day and to start posting on there own adding more to it everyday ... but I agree there should be more thought into what some people post cause there is no reason for 54 posts asking for the same pw when there is already a thread dedicated to it ... I do think that the mods are doing a great job though thanks to all of you
